Shadows into Light
On a recent trip to Chicago, this light fixture in a home store caught my attention. All I had with me was my fancy new phone. As I played with the natural and unnatural lighting features of the phone, the image became more abstract and more intriguing. The photo took on the look of blinds unfolding out the dark, opening enough to allow slivers of light to shine through—insights emerging. It isn’t a clear image of future tense, (perhaps because the vision of my future keeps evolving) but it offers a glimpse of something taking shape in a new way, rotating, revealing, illuminating…
